Workshop Description: Let's face it, being a music educator is a demanding job and we've all got busy lives in addition to our teaching jobs. There's a lot of manage and it sometimes can get stressful. In this workshop Roger combines his history as an Orff Schulwerk teacher educator with his work as a holistic Gestalt practitioner, holding space for your highest and best expression of yourself as an artist, as a teacher, and as a human. Gestalt means "wholeness" and the Gestalt movement comes from the same ethos (pre-WWII Germany) as Orff Schulwerk. Much like Orff Schulwerk it is about exploration in the now. Together we'll explore a fusion of Gestalt and Orff Schulwerk processes, creating space for you to make art that expresses your true essence, supports your well-being, and expands the possibilities of art-making in your classroom and in your life.
